[test] work in progress: Make test.javac6 pass all tests.
The `test.javac6` job causes a ton of errors because many tests use java8+ features. Marking them off as java8+ targeted only.

[i623] added eclipse code for generating @javax.annotation.Generated, and refactored java impl to reduce DRY violations. -f pretty now includes skipping generation of this annotation, and updated ALL the test cases.

semi-fix for issue 602, but not complete as adding annotations to generated fields leads to crazy issues (see issue 217): generated LOG field now has @SuppressWarnings on it.
