From ebff1ad019a286aad85da235117090a8be6b796f Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: tiennm99 Date: Sun, 26 Jul 2026 00:34:57 +0700 Subject: [PATCH] fix(engine): make guard mechanics actually execute Four defects left the stealth mechanics inert: warm tiles were cosmetic, mirror beams never reflected, static guards died permanently after a few turns, and suspicion guards reset their own tier every cycle. Deleting every guard from every level changed the optimal path by zero moves. - warm tiles are lethal and their decay window survives the turn cycle - rotating and sniper beams reach mirrors and reflect - static guards regrow, suspicion tiers persist - a mobile guard's own cell is lethal, and cell-swap counts as detection - turn preview simulates the player's move instead of a stationary player - a rejected one-way move no longer opens the door it was refused - line-of-sight extracted to one module shared by engine and solver Every rule change lands in both the turn engine and the BFS solver so CI cannot certify a level that a human cannot play. --- src/lib/game/game-history.js | 13 ++- src/lib/game/game-history.test.js | 20 ++++ src/lib/game/grid-system.js | 15 ++- src/lib/game/grid-system.test.js | 11 ++ src/lib/game/guards.js | 188 ++++++++++++++++++------------ src/lib/game/guards.test.js | 135 ++++++++++++++++++++- src/lib/game/level-solver.js | 105 ++++++++--------- src/lib/game/level-solver.test.js | 73 +++++++++++- src/lib/game/line-of-sight.js | 45 +++++++ src/lib/game/player.js | 40 +++++-- src/lib/game/player.test.js | 52 +++++++++ src/lib/game/throwable.js | 21 +--- src/lib/game/turn-manager.js | 97 +++++++++++---- src/lib/game/turn-manager.test.js | 106 +++++++++++++++++ 14 files changed, 731 insertions(+), 190 deletions(-) create mode 100644 src/lib/game/line-of-sight.js diff --git a/src/lib/game/game-history.js b/src/lib/game/game-history.js index 1a40941..fdd7b0a 100644 --- a/src/lib/game/game-history.js +++ b/src/lib/game/game-history.js @@ -1,9 +1,12 @@ // Undo/redo state history for game turns. // Snapshots player (including keysHeld), guards (via guard.capture()), turn count, -// princess state, throwSystem state, and grid key/door cell state. +// princess state, throwSystem state, and grid key/door/warm cell state. // -// Phase 04.5 gap fix: keysHeld + key/door cell snapshots added here so that undo -// correctly restores inventory and grid state after key collection or door opening. +// Warm-tile snapshot: warm cells are a lethal, timed hazard (see grid-system.js +// clearAllLight/tickWarmTimers), so undo must restore them exactly — otherwise +// undo could resurrect a state where a cell that should still be dangerous +// reads as safe (or vice versa), which is a real illegal-state bug on any +// decay-eligible level with undo enabled. const MAX_HISTORY = 50; @@ -28,6 +31,7 @@ export class GameHistory { // Grid snapshots: sparse arrays; null when grid not provided (e.g. levels without keys/doors) keySnapshot: grid ?
